Trackmaster Arthur at the Copper Mine is a great combo at a great price (around sixteen dollars). Setting it up was fun and it took around ten minutes. Most of the time was spent taking apart Arthur and the extra car from the packaging as they used ties that were wrapped around the tires. You have to be careful as they may add unnecessary pressure on the tires. Setting up the tracks were straight forward. The only other thing confusing was the screw that needs to be removed to take the top part of Arthur for battery installation (You need to remove only the most rear screw at the bottom and then pull the top part forward and upwards).
The most fun part for my son was the magically filling of the cargo car (with copper) when it goes underneath the mine.
Overall i will rate it as five stars. Happy Mining! -- Great price for a great combo
This is a nice train set at a great price that my 2-year old loves. She needs some help assembling the track, but she can do everything else herself, including turning the train on and off and getting the train to run on the track. Unlike her wooden train sets, this one holds together even when she crawls on top of it during play. I love the price of the Trackmaster sets--for about 20 dollars you get a complete set of track, a "building" and a battery-operated train! The Trackmaster trains generally fit and go on standard sized wooden tracks as well, although they often don't fit through bridges, tunnels, etc. You can get remote control trains for Trackmaster as well, which we haven't done, but plan on doing, because my daughter loves playing with the remote control Geotrax trains at friends' houses (Trackmaster seems to be significantly less expensive than Geotrax, but currently has less product selection). I hope Fisher Price offers more Trackmaster products in the future. -- Great for the price
