I bought the exact same toy about 5 years ago at Toys R US. I picked it up as a toy to keep at my house so my grandson would have something to play with. He was about 2 years old then. It was well worth $[...] +/-. I cannot believe that they are now charging $[...] for it. -- WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
I got this toy for my younger boy when he was about 8 months old. He couldn't get near it for a couple of months because my three-year old was always playing with it. But, starting around ten months old, he took a big interest in it and still at 14 months it's one of the toys he always goes back to. The animal sounds and song are cute, not too loud or annoying for parents. The characters are great. This is truly a perfect toy for a one-year old. -- Fun as advertised
My son received this as a first birthday present. He loved it from the moment he laid eyes on it. Now, seven months later, he still plays with it daily and I have purchased additional animal sets to give him for Christmas. I won't claim that he's learned much from it, but it's definitely well loved and played with. -- we love this barn!
My son recieved this as a christmas gift and it is such a great toy. At 14 months he smiled at the animal sounds, and the animals we the perfect size to hold and explore. Now at 19 months he put the animals into their rightful places in the barn. (one side of the stall plays a horse sound the other, a cow) The pig gate also makes an "oinking" sound when opened. Also there is a rooster that needs to be slid in order to hear it's sound. My only complaint is the silo. It comes off too easily but we decided the silo doesn't HAVE to be connected to the barn. My son uses it as a hide and seek center(putting the animals into the top opening and the door closed, then opening the door to see if the animals indeed were still there) Since the back is opened, I can sit behind and do a "puppet show". It is defently a cute toy but the animals have such "weird" hair - ha-ha... -- too cute!
I love Little People's toys for their durability and their ability to keep babies/toddler interested. My twin boys just got this for their second birthday and they play with it all of the time. They love the animals and all of the sounds. They have figured out how to make the farmhouse play all of the sounds now and are starting to get interested in which sound goes to which area. I love that it is educational and will teach them thigns that they need to know to hit milestones that they haven't achieved yet. Fun toy! -- Fun toy!
